Hôtel de Glace, Canada

Located in Québec, the Hôtel de Glace is the only one of its kind in North America. Constructed from over 15,000 tons of snow and 500 tons of ice, this hotel attracts more than 85,000 visitors each year.  The hotel features 36 guests suites, an ice chapel for weddings, an ice café, ice slide and in case you need some R&R, exterior spas and saunas. Be sure to keep in mind the hotel is only open from January to March, after which it disappears from the spring sun. Tsala Treetop Lodge, South Africa

Nestled among the treetops of an age-old indigenous forest, Tsala Treetop Lodge offers a mix of modern luxury and ancient African civilization. Elevated walkways provide access from the main lodge to one of the 10 luxurious guest suites. The suites are constructed of stone, wood and glass and include a lavish bedroom, a sitting room with a fireplace and bathroom. Hotel Kakslauttanen, Finland
