Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim Returns to Miami for 7th Year
South Beach is heating up for the return of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim on July 14th with a full schedule of designer runway shows, special events, press previews and industry parties. Now in its seventh year, Swim Week attracts thousands of fashion industry professionals to the sands of Miami Beach to preview what’s in store for the swimwear industry in 2012.
“This season Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim brings the most international roster of swimwear designers to date,” says Christina Neault, Executive Producer of the event for IMG Fashion. “As the swimwear industry continues to rapidly grow globally, we are thrilled to provide a platform for designers from around the world to show their collections. Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim will be featuring designs from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Columbia, France, Peru and the United States.”
Kicking the events off at The Raleigh on July 14th will be Diesel presented by SKYY Vodka. A sizzling runway show of Diesel’s newest swim collection will include the celebrity unveiling of the world’s first glass bikini. The night will culminate with the Official Kick Off Party presented by SKYY Vodka at the iconic hotel’s pool deck and Oasis. cial celebrity DJs and an invitation-only VIP guest list.
The exclusive Fashion Week shows will see an exciting line-up of the sexiest collections from new and returning designers. The event grows each year and continues to be a great platform for designers who are debuting their swimwear collections for the global fashion industry. This year Fashion Week Swim will feature several new designers showing for the first time including A.Che, Aguaclara, diNeila Brazil, Luxe by Lisa Vogel, Sonia Vera Swimwear, and Wildfox Swim. The week-long schedule will also see a roster of returning designers that includes Diesel, White Sands Australia, Poko Pano, Beach Bunny Swimwear, Crystal Jin, L*Space by Monica Wise, Norma Kamali Swimwear, Caffé Swimwear, Dolores Cortés, Mara Hoffman Swim, Aqua Di Lara, Red Carter, Cia.Marítima, Luli Fama, Lisa Blue, A.Z Araujo, Aquarella Swimwear, Kooey Swimwear Australia, and Nicolita.
Five days of “invitation-only” shows and events will attract more than 12,000 journalists, photographers, buyers, and VIPs.
