After introducing its first collection last year, Lacoste Lab continues to push the product innovation boundaries with its latest January 2013 release of the Lacoste Lab for Lacoste L!ve project.
As the next iteration of Lacoste Lab, the Lacoste Lab for Lacoste L!ve collection integrates the Lacoste L!ve lean towards the next generation of fashion firestarters and cultural movement-makers. The collection features hip, street style-inspired artifacts, like a skateboard by Artprint, Duarig rugby and volleyballs, Pétanque balls by Obutand, and a jet helmet by GPA Design.
Stylish snowbirds can hit the slopes in the Lacoste Lab for Lacoste L!ve ski helmets by GPA Design, Salomon snowboards, goggles by Dragon Alliance.
An experimental design house of sorts, Lacoste Lab extends the fashion brand into a complete lifestyle experience with sports and leisure products. Headed by Lacoste Design Director Christophe Pillet, Lacoste Lab is the revolutionary result of high-level design and manufacturing partnerships.
Pillet closely collaborates with a select group of pioneering industry leaders to create luxury novelties. These technologically advanced, aesthetically appealing products bridge the gap between the Lacoste’s traditional history and its future stronghold on luxury retail, all the while honoring the brand’s founder, Rene Lacoste.
“By seeking new materials and new designs, the LACOSTE LAB expands the ways in which LACOSTE expresses itself and boldly takes the crocodile into fields which it has yet to venture,” said Pillet in a press release.
Like last year’s items, the Lacoste Lab for Lacoste L!ve collection is available at www.colette.fr.
