p>New York Fashion Week—also known as Mercedez Benz Fashion Week—is only days away and the city is abuzz with preparation. By Wednesday, the models will be cast and the sets will be dressed. The sous chefs will be prepped, chauffeurs will be coached and concierges will be primed and in anxious anticipation.

From all around the world, trendy jetsetters and fashion industry insiders will converge with celebrity guests and VIPs at the Lincoln Center in New York City.

Previously held at Bryant Park in New York City, the Lincoln Center – a posh locale for the industry’s elite, has been the new home and host site of the New York Fashion week since 2010. Here are some of the ritziest celeb soirees that are expected to take place while the rest of the world gets schooled on what’s going to be hot this fall:

DKNY Kickoff Party—11am-5pm—Empire Hotel

Donna Karen is inviting only the most prominent of guests to the Empire Hotel to preview some of the sketches that inspired her line that will debut at NYFW later this week.

CLUB XL Kickoff Party—February 6th @ 8pm—Club XL

Club XL in Hell’s Kitchen is New York’s “IT” club for the gay community. ©

Rumored to feature “the fashion industry elite,” as quoted by the club’s website, Music Fights AIDS is pairing up with Instinct magazine and Lifebeat for a whole lotta dancin’ ‘till the wee hours of the morning.

Ribbon Cutting— February 6th—amfAR New York Gala @ Cipriani Wall Street

Honoring those who have had a large part in raising awareness and money for research regarding AIDS, the gala will feature cocktails, dinner, a luxury auction and is set to honor Kenneth Cole, Janet Jackson and Heidi Klum for their contributions.

Bulgari Dinner—Febraury 9th

According to Harper’s Bazaar, the jewelry titan Nicola Bulgari will serve as host to an exclusive dinner for forty of the most distinguished guests to celebrate the launch of her newest line of serpent-inspired jewelry, honoring the year of the snake.

The second floor of Ed’s is a location known for attracting NYFW guests such as Tom and Lorenzo, the Fug girls and Joe Zee, creative director of ELLE magazine, and others, for drinks and gossip during NYFW.

Cocktails, food, swag, celebs…and live streams and repeats of the various shows? Yes, please! The likes of Lil’ Kim and Beyoncé reportedly like to relax in this VIP lounge between shows.

Ferrari/BOSS Models and ODAINGEROUS—February 8th @ 10pm—The DL Rooftop

The Rooftop at the DL, named for being on the corner of Delancey and Ludlow, boasts three levels and a retractable roof, giving spectacular views of the Lower East Side. ©

Ferrari and BOSS are collaborating with the Odaingerous clothing line to throw a killer rooftop bash. The event is by invite only, and plenty of paps will be stationed outside the DL Rooftop to capture celebs, models and designers arriving at the fabulous event.

Reality on the Runway—Feb 9th 7:30pm—The Altman Building

Hobnob with your fave reality stars for a good cause!

Reality TV stars and celebs will partner up to raise money for AIDS awareness. This is the first annual Reality of Fashion/Reality of AIDS event, and organizers hope to continue to raise money for and awareness of the disease.

Ice T’s 4th Annual Aquarius Birthday Celebration—Feb 15th @9pm—Flatiron Hotel

Though Fashion Week will be officially over, Ice T won’t let the party stop as he hosts his annual NYFW wrap-up and birthday celebration in the Penthouse of the Flatiron Hotel. With a barrage of special celebrity performances and appearances, this black-tie-affair is the place to end the amazing week-that-was.
